KVHS, also known as 90.5 the Edge, is a student operated radio station in Concord, California. The station is part of the Regional Occupation Program that helps both high school & college students learn from first hand experience in fields they would otherwise not experience.

For over 40 years the station has been broadcasting student produced commercial & station plugs, as well as some of the best music ever played. It has also helped local & unknown bands get their music to listeners across Contra Costa County. As well as providing local businesses with PSA's.
Unfortunately when Clayton Valley High School, where KVHS is located, left the Mount Diablo Unified School District to become a charter school, the future of KVHS was placed in jeopardy. As we understand it, both the school, Clayton Valley charter High School, and the district it was once a part of, Mount Diablo Unified School District, want to keep and maintain the program. If not expand on it. Currently their attorneys are in talks over where the program will go and who gets control.
We are asking for everyone to help save the KVHS program. We would like to ask you to sign our petition, join our Facebook page, and send letters & emails to whoever we have to, to keep the program alive.
